AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …

(1) Surface high pressure has moved east of our area and as a result, a southerly surface wind has returned which is resulting in increasing low level moisture and increased cloud cover.

(2) With fronts pulling up stationary to our north and west, there will be no air mass changes; however, passing upper air disturbances will create atmospheric lift as they pass west to east to the north of our area. Rain and thunderstorm chances return Friday through early next week but the best rain chances being to our north.

Based on NWS/Weather Prediction Center guidance, 1.00 inch of rainfall is forecast for our IH35 corridor over the next seven day forecast period (specifically, focusing on the Friday through the weekend and first half of next week).

MY FORECAST CONFIDENCE OVER THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS…
High forecast confidence through mid week before falling back to medium to high confidence late week into the weekend.
